Emergency Support

If you think you can not keep yourself or someone else safe, or if your own life or some else's is at risk, call 999 immediately.  A mental health emergency is taken just as seriously as a physical one.

If you need help urgently your your mental health but its not an emergency, you can get help from NHS 111 online or you can call 111 and select the mental health option (people with hearing problems can use the NHS 111 British Sign Language (BSL) service)

The Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT) Newcastle and Gateshead

The team operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They provide assessment and support at home for people over the age of 16 as an alternative to hospital admission. This team does not operate as an 'emergency' service in the way 999 does but will be able to support you as fast as they can.
